“ Went the for Sunday lunch. Our main server was Calum and he was so nice and friendly. Food was amazing, got the honey chilli wontons and the braided fig burger. 10/10 would recommend. ”
“ Came for Sunday lunch and had the roast beef, meat was cooked to absolute perfection, so tender. All the trimmings including crispy roastie, a giant Yorkshire pudding and delicious gravy, the best roast I've had for a long time. Excellent value for money. Service was quick and non intrusive. 10/10 all round. ”
“ Faultless. An all round great experience. My friend and I visited for Aberdeen Restaurant Week and ordered from the set menu. As you'll see from the photos we were blown away. Friendly service, excellent food and reasonable prices. ”
“ We were visiting this restaurant based on a referral and we were not disappointed at all! This is a really nice and cute restaurant in the heart of Aberdeen offering a large variety of great, also Scottish, dishes. The staff was very likable and attentive and the setting of the restaurant is very cozy and great for couples but also for groups. We will certainly come back if we have the chance! ”
“ Decided to book for an evening meal on a recent trip to Aberdeen. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are professional and attentive. Our main courses were both of high quality and freshness. The waitress allowed me to swap bacon for black pudding on my burger, which was appreciated. Our desserts were equally good, which rounded off a great evening. Highly recommended. ”
“ We booked a table for 4 on a Thursday evening. The name of the restaurant kind of suggests that this might be a vegan/vegetarian only venue - it couldn’t be further from the truth - there is certainly a full vegan menu but there is an extensive menu offering non-v/v options also. All three courses that we ordered were creatively put together and well presented and cooked. I have scored down for atmosphere as the restaurant/bar was very very quiet on the Thursday evening when we visited. Based on the food service the restaurant should have been booked up. Aberdonians/visitors - if you’re not eating at The Braided Fig you are missing out. And as the saying goes - use it or lose it. Alas, the large braided fig tree in the centre atrium is no longer - a victim of Covid it seems? Even though it remains in the restaurant/bar and is hanging onto most of its shrivelled leaves for now, it does feel like the restaurant might want to invest in a healthy replacement at some point as the old fig tree is now in a rather sad state. Overall, very happy with our meal and would definitely recommend it to others. ”
“ One of the best meals I've had in ages! Highly recommend Relaxed atmosphere too, with friendly & helpful, but unobtrusive staff. ”
“ The atmosphere and staff were amazing. I will definitely be back. The decor was stunning. The food was out of this world. I would most definitely recommend this place. ”
